De Wapenbroeders Deel 8 / De Vliegeniers. Met dit deel is iets merkwaardigs aan de hand. Leefden we in deel zeven al in het jaar 1964, ook dit deel, het achtste (en laatste?) verhaalt allerlei zaken met dezelfde hoofdpersonen in het jaar 1964: Marjorie Bellmon en Jack Portet (die elkaar in deel zeven al erg beminden; trouwens toen was Portet sergeant geworden en in deel acht is hij weer soldaat!), overste Felter (in deel zes al kolonel!) en generaal-majoor Bellmon. Hoofdpersoon is Johny Oliver, kapitein en hem wordt de eer waardig gegund vleugeladjudant van generaal Bellmon te worden. Een betrouwbare, intelligente kerel, wiens leven wordt beheerst door het feit dat hij beroepsmilitair is.
