De Wapenbroeders Deel 2 / De Kapiteins. In dit tweede deel ontmoeten we ‘oude’ bekenden, die zich vanwege bijzondere capaciteiten en/of heldenmoed opwerken tot kapitein. Hoofdpersoon is ontegenzeggelijk de fanatieke Craig Lowell, met zijn 23 jaar wel erg jong kapitein (een jaar later wordt hij zelfs majoor). Zijn vrouw Ilse wordt door een dronken militair in Duitsland doodgereden en Craig haalt een huzarenstunt uit in Korea. Daar ontmoet hij kapitein MacMillan en zijn vriend kapitein Felter, die ook hun mannetje blijken te staan. Kostelijk is het hoe Griffin de sfeer treffend tekent, van hoog tot laag. Verder is dit deel zo mogelijk nog ‘echter’ dan deel een van deze opmerkelijke serie.
